When I think of the word “festival” many things come to mind. This week I think the word “bounty” is foremost. Our third-annual Jazz at Naz Festival is underway. Every day new artists are coming and going from The Soraya. Music fills the venue morning, afternoon, and evening, and everyone is talking about the many facets of jazz.
In short, the exchanges of music, ideas, culture, and friendship are bountiful, as is this week’s Director Selects, which is filled with multiple articles and videos that bring depth and texture to the many performances featured within the Festival. In particular, enjoy a few words in this new video interview from Harold López-Nussa, the Cuban pianist who joins us on February 10 with Eliades Ochoa (whose name you may know from Buena Vista Social Club).
Tickets are still available and can be purchased here. At the same link, you can also purchase access to stream the concerts from home (which comes complimentary with an in-person ticket purchase).
Gratefully,
