Director Selects: Christian Sands Jazzes Up the Holidays

During 2021 and 2022 we operated in fear that any artist might cancel at any time. In the end, we were luckier than most — Covid only interfered twice. On one of those occasions pianist Christian Sands stepped in with less than 24-hours notice, and wow! He won the hearts of Soraya patrons, both for rescuing the concert and for his dazzling performance.
We knew he had to come back under easier circumstances, and his 2023 holiday album, Christmas Stories, offered the perfect opportunity.
