Camila Fernández joins Nochebuena this December

By Thor Steingraber

Camila Fernandez is the third generation in her family to represent Mexican culture in the recording industry and worldwide. As she says, she’s “proud to be the first woman performing in a charro suit,” representing her family and culture.  We are so fortunate to have her join this year‘s Nochebuena performances.

In this video interview, she talks about her commitment to the art form and to her family, and she shares recollections of Christmas holidays spent on the ranch of her legendary grandfather Vicente Fernández.

Gratefully,

About Director Selects

The Director Selects series is a sequence of interviews shared by The Soraya on Fridays throughout the year. Each features an exclusive interview with an artist who will perform in the season or a behind-the-scenes video, and a note from Executive and Artistic Director Thor Steingraber. All is done to give patrons a look behind-the-curtain so they can better understand the collaboration between the artist and The Soraya that goes into each performance.
